✯ WHERE IS EVERYBODY?
Shhh… this December, we’re hibernating. Well, not really. Nowhere Girl is working very hard, actually. Phase III of Nowhere Girl Collective is coming in 2026.
✯ HUH? WHAT IS PHASE III OF NOWHERE GIRL COLLECTIVE?
Nowhere Girl Collective was founded in 2024. Thus began Phase I: the experimental phase, entirely online - a little chaos, a lot of magic.
After 500+ submissions per prompt each month and an accidental cult following, Phase II arrived in early 2025: the phase of continuity, shape, and claiming space in the literary ether. Well, consider that space cemented. Dazed dubbed Nowhere Girl Collective as “a salon, zine, oracle, and soft cult”, “a community platform where [Nowhere Girl] curates emerging voices with the same rigour she applies to her own.”
Enter 2026, aka Phase III: quarterly issues, real-world gatherings, print editions, collectable artefacts, and a whole damn chorus of contributors.
✯ BUT WHAT ARE WE MEANT TO DO WHILE WE WAIT?
Rest: didn’t we say we were hibernating? If you’re in the North, seek warmth. Draw a bath. Sink into the tub. You’ll find the words in the ceiling. If you’re in the South, like Nowhere Girl, lay in the sun ‘til you melt. ‘Til it explodes. The words will come post apocalypse.
Observe: there are 2 years of archived submissions in the Collective. Read through every single one. Seek inspiration and familiarise yourself with the Collective and all of our bright and strange contributors thus far. Dream of becoming a contributor yourself. At least, dream of becoming something bright and strange.
