DEAR DIARY;
Dreamed. Woke, no morning sun. Lazed, dazed, somewhat crazed. Showered, journaled about spring, made pancakes with blackberries, apricot compote and French yoghurt that had gone a little sour. Didn’t mind. Consumed aforementioned pancakes with great deft. Put coats and dresses on hangers, danced with the windows open. Edited for nine hours straight. Searched for proof of something else. Tried to pray; failed. Tried to write; failed. Watched a film on love, the gritty kind. It didn't work out for them in the end. Thought of you a lot. Thought of my mother a lot. Edited a little more, journaled a little more. Repeated the pattern. Ate a little ice cream but it doesn’t taste the same without you. Spied on my neighbours, cracked my neck too many times. More than anything, I dreamed, and in every dream you were mine.
