SANKAI JUKU

MEDIUM: CHARCOAL AND GRAPHITE ON PAPER, 8X11”.

“This piece is an ode to butoh, the avant-garde dance style that emerged in postwar Japan, and to our collective memory. An investigation on what it means to grieve, to fall apart, to love, and to remember.”
