“This sculpture depicts two figurative forms embracing and in places melding into each other. Adorning the backs of each figure are scratch marks being cast by the other, symbolising mutual influence and tension. Their faces merge together, representing a fusion of energies and a state of unity. This piece explores the frustration, passion and change inherent to the relationship between the artist and the muse, blurring the lines between inspiration and obsession.”
