REMEMBER?

Remember when your moving truck arrived on our street? Remember when you told me your name and I told you mine? Remember how third grade was all honey and daisies? Remember the library and the treehouse and the little den under my staircase? Remember how I braided your long hair because you said you always wanted to feel like a princess? Remember when we both bit into peaches and let the juice drip down our chins? Remember Abbey Road and Mary Oliver and Parks and Recreation reruns? Remember how we sang at the top of our lungs whenever our parents left us home alone? Remember when we held the moon in our palms and let the hadal sky swallow us whole? Remember how we wove our fingers together and promised to never let go? Remember? Remember? Remember? Remember how it all shattered in a single sentence? Remember how we vowed to keep in touch? Remember when your moving truck left our street?
