“I took these photos at an abandoned religious theme park that was crafted by some long-gone politician and now hosts a more eerie display of rusted crosses and wethered religious sentiments and statues. What makes Jesus so special is that he was reborn. And what makes this abandoned theme park so special is that in its destruction and decay, it is now something different. Copper grates have oxidized over a statue of Mary, now alluding to her sacrifice, her cage, her burden of giving birth to the son of God. Everything that is built will eventually crumble and become something new again.”
