STRANGER
ARTIST’S NOTE:
“This song, at its core, is about coping with the haunting feeling of having lost a close connection and feeling abandoned. For me, it is reflecting on a childhood with a runaway father. For you, it is anything you want.
I made the stop-motion music video using cutouts from vintage magazines to visually represent the song with a collage of lyrics and photos tied to the words. Consume with curiosity!”
LYRICS:
Searching for you
In empty rooms
So young I was
All on my own
Still see you
In strangers' faces in the city
Caught wondering
If you're ever searching for me
Old friend
You only visit when I'm dreaming
All gone when I wake
Now looking back
I was soft like clay
Shaping with your hands
Then washing it away

“Greetings, my love. We meet again. My name is Regan (pronounced Ree-gan)... if that name rings familiar, you may have seen me on the November issue, Ouroboros or on the January issue, Billet Doux. Every day I count my lucky stars to behold the opportunity to grow my sense of community with creators around the world through Nowhere Girl Collective.
I'm just a girl in love with reverb and telling stories through sound. I love art and expression in all forms, but music has been my favorite medium of creating since before I can remember.
I am part of a 2-person indie dream pop band called Meadows. This song and all other works released under the name Meadows are co-created and produced by my partner and bandmate, Brian Ragland, and it's all home-made with love from our sweet little one-bedroom apartment.
You can find me on the streaming platform of your choice as Meadows <3”
